B & J Machine Works, Inc. has been in business since 1981. We started in a small building located south of Madisonville, Texas with a few small manual machines.

By 1986, it was time for expansion. We moved into the building currently occupied today, at the Madison County Industrial Park.

Since the early 1990's B & J has specialized in the manufacturing of brass and steel shear screws, and shear products for the down hole industry, (i.e. shear screws, shear pins, shear studs, pull studs, etc.). We have in house testing capabilities on a majority of our products UP TO 30,000 #'S.

Over the years we have added to our manufacturing capacity with CNC milling and tuning capabilities, cad cam support, automatic crew, chuck, and bar feed machines.

We have worked side by side with engineering personnel from day one to see that there Research & Development projects go from one piece, to two piece, to full production runs.

We do not out source any of our manufacturing, all machine work is done in house, to our customers’ specifications.
